Permanent, Full Time, Sun-Thu Senior Bookseller | Duty Team Leader QBD Books - Erina Fair, NSW This role is perfect for an experienced bookseller who loves leading by example, coaching others, and creating an energetic, welcoming space for readers. You’ll play a key role in supporting the leadership team, and delivering exceptional customer experiences that turn visitors into regulars. The role As Senior Bookseller | Duty Team Leader, you’ll support the Head Bookseller | Team Leader in the day-to-day running of the store while leading the team on the floor. You’ll balance people leadership, sales performance and customer connection, ensuring the store consistently meets targets while remaining a fun, supportive place to work and shop. What you’ll do Sales & leadership Champion sales excellence and coach the team to achieve targets and KPIs Lead by example on the floor, delivering confident, engaging customer service Support team training, development and performance Store operations Assist with day-to-day store operations and opening/closing duties Maintain stock integrity with guidance from buying and operations teams Ensure a safe, supportive and well-run store environment Customer & community engagement Build strong relationships with customers and encourage repeat visits Support education and debtor account sales through outreach, Book Drives and networking Maintain relationships with existing account holders Visual merchandising Present a visually appealing store aligned with merchandising guides and promotions Ensure displays are tidy, engaging and commercially effective Team culture & communication Maintain strong communication with store and operations teams Champion a positive, inclusive and growth-focused team culture About you You’re a people-person who loves books, enjoys sales, and takes pride in helping others succeed.
